Being aware of preventing injuries during working out and weight training

I was guilty of this for years, not warming up, not stretching, and just jumping into a work out full of heavy weights.  I would be sore and stiff for a few days. Now I warm up a little, I stretch, I warm up a little more, then I start with pretty lights.  After a few minutes, I'm lifting He-Man weights again and this time, I'm not super sore and stiff.  And I'm not getting any younger, as time goes on, I am finding myself getting more stiff and sore after each work out.

Two words for you, stretch bands.  Warm up those rotator cuffs (rear delts), which are your shoulders if you didn't know.  Tearing a rotatory is a very common injury, but can be prevented quite easily.

I also enjoy a walk or job before working legs.  Make sure your legs are warmed up before doing any heavy leg presses or lunging.  I also recommend stretching before, during, and after a leg work out.

I see mine at least once a week or at least I try to. The longer a muscle goes untreated, the tighter and worse off it will get. And then that tight muscle starts affecting other muscles and all of a sudden you're forty years old and you can't stand up straight. I believe massage therapy is an important part of a regular workout routine and body maintenance.
