How to Run a Successful Fitness Boot Camp

I have one of the busiest and most successful fitness boot camps in Denver, Colorado.  I have been doing it for about 5 years now.  First things first, you need to know what you're doing.  I am a certified personal trainer and spent several years in the military, supervising my physical fitness programs.  My duties in this role in the military included making sure my Marines and soldiers passed their physical fitness test, putting them through a physical training routine, and checking their body fat.  Once you are qualified, you need to pick a location to conduct your fitness boot camp.  You can either pick a location indoor such as a gym or warehouse (we have a lot of snow and cold in the winter in Denver) or an outdoor location such as a park or field.  My advice is to pick a central location close to lots of people and a place very convenient for people to make it to.  Now, the most important part, you're qualified and know where you'll be doing it, people people and people!!!  You can be the best personal trainer or fitness boot camp instructor in the country, but if you don't have any clients or boot campers, you might as well not be in the biz at all.  So you need to put butts in the seats so to speak.  I suggest using social networking such as facebook and myspace.  Put up flyers in coffee shops near your location.  And offer specials and great deals until you get a good following.  Once you get some people, offer group rates and referral incentives.  Hope this helps and good luck.
